End the day around a fire. Our bonfire evenings run at Drung, a village a short drive from Gulmarg best known for its waterfall, and they are the natural way to close a day on the slopes or in the meadows. We build and manage the fire, arrange seating and hot drinks, and stay with you throughout. Once the sun goes down and the cold comes in, the sky above Drung is genuinely dark, and on a clear night the stars are the second half of the show.
You have a choice of setting for the bonfire. Both are at Drung, and both take the same arrangements — it is the surroundings that differ.
A sheltered clearing on the edge of the meadow, a short drive out of Gulmarg town. It is the easier of the two to reach, stays accessible for longer through the winter, and keeps you close enough to town to head back whenever you like. Good for families, mixed groups and anyone who does not want a long transfer after dark.
